e CLUB UPDATES

Program Assistant (PA) of the Month: We are pleased to announce that Emily Overvelde is the November “FHHSC PA of the Month”. Emily has been a PA for the past two seasons and one of the club’s greatest assets. Along with a full skating training, testing and competitive schedule, she is also a member of the local Synchronized Skating team. Always willing to assist the Coaches, Emily has demonstrated that she is eager to be involved on the ice in whatever capacity is assigned to her. Always smiling and happy, she loves to skate and enjoys sharing her joy of skating with our young skaters in the CanSkate groups. A dedicated and valuable member of the PA team, congratulations and well done!

Kingston Nighttime Santa Parade: A special thank you to all those who came out to support the FHHSC Santa Parade Float. Our theme this year was “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs”. We had a wonderful turnout, with more than 50 skaters and parents, dressed in costume, participating in the parade. A special thanks to Stephen Overvelde and Herman’s Auto for giving up your garage for float set up and driving the float and to Boyd Electric for providing the trailer for the float. To all those who came out to help with set-up, our sincere thanks, we couldn’t do it without you.

FHHSC Club Jackets: This stylish black bonded fleece jacket is available in both youth and adult sizes. The back of the jacket includes “FHH Skating Club” in red twill with white embroidery and the club logo will be embroidered on the front chest. Sample jacket with sample sizes are available in the front lobby. All skaters are invited to take advantage of this great deal. The cost of the jacket is reasonably priced at $50.00.

Camera & Video Policy: Cameras and/or video cameras are only permitted for personal use. Photographing or taping of skaters other than family members without express written permission from the parent/guardian is prohibited.

January Registrations: We will be accepting registrations for the second half of our skating year. We have space available in our CanSkate and Adult classes for Regular (Military) and Ordinary (DND Employees) members. Please pass the word!!! Details are available on the website.
